Job Description:

  • Are you the Volvo tech everyone calls when a truck won’t cooperate?
  • We’re looking for a Lead Diesel Technician / Shop Supervisor to help run maintenance for a Volvo tractor fleet in Phoenix.
  • If you know Volvo D11 / D13 engines, Volvo Tech Tool, and aftertreatment systems, this is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role while still doing hands-on diagnostics.
  • This is a working foreman position — you’ll be diagnosing trucks while helping manage shop workflow and keeping the fleet rolling.

What you will be working on:

     • Volvo VNL / VNR / VHD trucks
     • D11 / D13 engines
     • DPF / DEF / SCR / EGR systems
     • Fault codes and derate issues
     • Electrical and CAN-bus diagnostics
     • Volvo Tech Tool (PTT) diagnostics

 

Duties:

     • Lead and assist diesel technicians in daily shop work
     • Diagnose complex Volvo truck issues
     • Assign work orders and prioritize repairs
     • Troubleshoot engine derates and electronic faults
     • Perform and oversee forced regenerations
     • Maintain repair quality and reduce repeat repairs
     • Coordinate with drivers and operations
     • Keep shop organized and productive

Qualifications:

    • 5+ years diesel mechanic experience
    • Experience working on Volvo trucks
    • Experience with Volvo D11 or D13 engines
    • Familiarity with Volvo Tech Tool or similar diagnostic software
    • Strong knowledge of aftertreatment systems
    • Ability to diagnose electrical and electronic faults
