Road Warrior Staffing is hiring a dependable Non-CDL Straight Truck Driver for a full-time delivery opportunity based in Inwood, New York.
This position pays $25 per hour and includes overtime opportunities and a $1,000 sign-on bonus paid after 90 days of employment.
Drivers operate automatic straight trucks while completing local commercial and residential deliveries throughout Long Island, Westchester, New York City, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. Daily routes generally average approximately 20–50 miles.
This is an active delivery position involving approximately 90% touch freight. Freight may be palletized or non-palletized and includes a variety of products. Candidates must be comfortable handling freight and completing occasional product assembly or disassembly.

Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM
Local routes averaging approximately 20–50 miles daily

Safely operate an automatic straight truck.
Complete local commercial and residential deliveries.
Serve delivery locations throughout Long Island, Westchester, New York City, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.
Deliver to stores, warehouses, yards, businesses, residences, and other customer locations.
Handle approximately 90% touch freight.
Work with palletized and non-palletized shipments.
Load, unload, move, and protect assigned freight.
Secure freight appropriately during transportation.
Perform occasional product assembly or disassembly.
Complete delivery paperwork and documentation accurately.
Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Follow company safety procedures and applicable DOT requirements.
Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and operations personnel.
Report delivery, freight, or equipment issues promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle.

Valid driver’s license appropriate for operating a non-CDL straight truck.
Current DOT Medical Card or Certificate.
Ability to safely operate a 26-foot automatic straight truck.
Comfortable completing commercial and residential deliveries.
Willing and able to perform 100% touch-freight work.
Ability to load and unload freight throughout the workday.
Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable performing occasional assembly and disassembly.
Available Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–5:30 PM.
Available for overtime when needed.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Strong commitment to safety and professional customer service.
Ability to meet applicable DOT, company, and insurance requirements.
Must successfully complete the required background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be comfortable with:
Frequent loading and unloading
Lifting and handling freight weighing up to 50 pounds
Standing and walking throughout the workday
Repeated bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
Handling palletized and non-palletized freight
Performing occasional product assembly and disassembly
Working in an active, hands-on delivery environment
Interview and Road-Test Process
Qualified candidates will complete an in-person interview and road test.
Interviews and road tests are available Monday–Friday.
Available appointment times are between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
Candidates should be prepared to complete the road test on the same day as the interview whenever possible.
