Job Description

Road Warrior Staffing is hiring an experienced Non-CDL Delivery Driver for a full-time delivery position based in Memphis, Tennessee.

This position pays $24 per hour and includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus paid after 90 days of employment. Drivers work Monday–Friday from 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, with overtime available and possible weekend work during peak periods.

Drivers operate available automatic Freightliner straight trucks while completing approximately 10–15 stops and traveling around 80–100 miles per day. Routes cover Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi.

This is a physical, hands-on delivery position involving approximately 75% touch freight. A driver helper is provided daily, along with pallet jacks, dollies, and the equipment needed to complete deliveries safely.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely operate an automatic Freightliner straight truck.
• Complete approximately 10–15 delivery stops daily.
• Drive routes throughout Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
• Make commercial and residential deliveries.
• Deliver freight to stores, warehouses, yards, airports, businesses, and residences.
• Transport home furnishings, medical products, and other assigned freight.
• Handle approximately 75% touch freight.
• Load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use pallet jacks, dollies, and other delivery equipment.
• Work with a driver helper provided daily.
• Handle items weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Move approximately 15–20 individual pieces when freight is not palletized.
• Secure and protect freight during transportation.
• Perform product assembly or disassembly occasionally.
• Participate in assembly training when required.
• Assist with warehouse loading and unloading duties.
• Complete delivery paperwork and documentation accurately.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Follow applicable DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and operations personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle.

Qualifications

• Valid DOT Med CardCommercial Driver’s License.
• Current DOT Medical Card/Certificate.
• At least one year of current, applicable commercial-driving experience within the previous five years.
• Straight-truck delivery experience.
• Ability to operate automatic commercial vehicles safely.
• Eligible to operate interstate routes through Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
• Ability to obtain the required security clearance for airport deliveries.
• Comfortable completing commercial and residential deliveries.
• Able and willing to perform loading and unloading duties.
• Comfortable working in a 75% touch-freight position.
• Ability to handle items weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Willing to assist with warehouse loading and unloading.
• Available Monday–Friday from 11:00 AM–7:30 PM.
• Available for overtime and possible weekend work during peak periods.
• Strong commitment to safety and professional customer service.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to meet applicable DOT, company, and insurance requirements.

Candidates must be comfortable with:

• Frequent loading and unloading
• Handling palletized and non-palletized freight
• Assisted lifting of items weighing up to 100 pounds
• Standing and walking throughout the workday
• Repeated bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Operating pallet jacks and dollies
• Working in an active, hands-on delivery environment
