Job Description
We are hiring experienced CDL A Step Deck Drivers to join our growing transportation team. This is a W-2 position offering competitive mileage pay, weekly payroll, late-model equipment, and consistent long-haul freight opportunities.
Drivers primarily haul step deck, double drop, and occasional oversize loads originating from Southern California and delivering throughout the Midwest, East Coast, and Southeast regions including Pennsylvania, Michigan, Missouri, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, and Virginia.
Our drivers operate modern 2024 International automatic sleeper trucks equipped with Samsara GPS tracking, ELD technology, and safety monitoring systems. We value professionalism, safety, compliance, and excellent customer service while providing drivers with steady miles and dependable income.

Typical Routes
Drivers generally pick up freight in the San Diego, California area and deliver throughout the Midwest, East Coast, and Southeast United States. Average round-trip runs are approximately 5,000 miles and typically last around 10 days.
Duties
• Safely operate a Class A CDL truck hauling step deck, double drop, and oversize freight.
• Transport loads throughout the United States while maintaining compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety standards.
• Properly secure freight using chains, binders, straps, and other load securement equipment.
• Tarp loads when necessary to protect customer freight.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate driver logs.
• Utilize Samsara ELD, GPS, and dash camera systems for route management and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, compliance, safety, and operations departments.
• Submit weekly trip and mileage documentation for payroll processing.
• Maintain a clean driving record and represent the company professionally at customer locations.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
Qualifications:

- 2 years of Class A Experience Required

- 1 Non Serious Moving Violation or less within the past 12 months, 2 Non serious moving violations or less within the past 2 years

- 1 Non Serious Accident within the past 12 months, 2 Non Serious Accidents or less within the past 2 years

- 23 Years old or older
- No DUI, DWI, OWI within the past 7 years
Benefits

Pay Package
• $0.70 per loaded mile – Step Deck & Double Drop Loads
• $0.80 per loaded mile – Oversize Loads requiring Pilot Car
• $0.40 per mile – Empty or Bobtail Miles
• $150 Tarp Pay
• $100 Layover Pay (24 hours without movement)
• Performance-based pay review after 6 months
