Screening Process
Part of a typical screening process includes the following:
• Verification of the appropriate minimum age for the specified job functions.
• Confirmation of a valid driver’s license.
• Verification of a valid DOT medical certification, when applicable.
• Obtaining and evaluating an original MVR/DVR record that is no older than two weeks.
• Verification of previous employment to ensure relevant experience.
• Comprehensive criminal background checks for felony and misdemeanor violations.
• Completion of a pre-employment drug test (including DOT requirements when applicable).
• Completion of an FMCSA Clearinghouse pre-employment query to check for drug and alcohol program violations.
• Assessment of minimum skill levels for the position and verification of completed education.
• Verification of medical certification through the National Registry.
• Conducting personalized interviews with each driver candidate to evaluate their qualifications, goals, and preferences, ensuring the best fit for both the client and the driver.
